SA515/SA515M specification covers carbon-silicon steel plates primarily for intermediate and higher temperature service in welded boilers and other pressure vessels projects.
SA515 Gr.65 steel tensile strength is 450Mpa to 585Mpa and the yield strength is min 240Mpa.
About the thickness of SA515 Gr.65, Gangsteel maximum thickness of plates is limited only
by the capacity of the composition to meet the specified mechanical property
requirements.
Now, in our mill practice, Gangsteel normally limits the maximum thickness of
plate is 300mm. the
delivery station is UT test, normalized and have to use the ingot to produce
it.
If SA515 Gr.65, steel thick in 50mm or under this thickness, SA515 Gr.65 normalized supplied in the as-rolled condition. If our customer requirement, we also could do normalized. If SA515 Gr.65 thicknesses are above 50mm, this plate is normalized.
