Corten B or Cor-Ten B is a weather resistant steel and the chemical composition of Corten b OR Cor-Ten B has been designed to provide a high resistance to atmospheric corrosion, especial in urban environment. Corten b or Cor-Ten b is a copper chromium alloy steel – this alloy displays a greater level of resistance to atmospheric weathering when compared to other unalloyed steels.
The protective layer of Corten b constantly develops and regenerates over time,
reacting to the pollutants in the atmosphere. Consideration should be made with
regard to the thicknesses used especially when the material is utilized for
structural rather than solely cosmetic purposes.
Gangsteel exported Corten B steel plate many years and our mill has much
experience in Corten B steel grade. The different item is the element of P
between Corten B and the Corten A steel grade.
Gangsteel
supply Corten B in normalized station in ingot steel, the normalized
temperature is 910dgree+-10 degree and total heating time have to above
1.5min/mm. The Furnace temperature should be 920-+10 degree, heating insulation
time should be above 1.5min/mm.
